LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2012) - Tickets are on sale now for the 2nd annual Susan G. Komen Los Angeles gala, hosted by television personality, fashion designer and author, Lauren Conrad. The gala brings together the world of fashion, celebrities and cancer survivors at the Millennium Biltmore on Saturday, Oct. 13 to raise funds for breast cancer screening, education, treatment and research in Los Angeles County.
This elegant, "pink-tie" evening will raise funds to impact women who are battling breast cancer in Los Angeles County as well as providing funding for research, mammograms and other diagnostic and treatment services. The gala will feature a celeb-studded pink carpet, special appearances with live entertainment, a cocktail reception, dinner, and a fabulous silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items and experiences. Conrad will be on hand to dress survivors in her contemporary line, Paper Crown, for an exciting display of fashion and beauty.
"After corresponding with the survivors during the initial stages of the dress fittings, I am even more honored to host this event," said Conrad. "These ladies all exhibit such strength and hearing their stories and the stories of women like them inspires me. I am thrilled to partner with an organization like Susan G. Komen that is actively working to end this disease, and am so pleased to be able to help spread awareness about breast cancer in any way that I can."
Tickets are $250 or $2,500 for a 10-person table, which includes full dinner, cocktail reception and access to all event activities and a swag bag, valued at close to $400. Special thanks to the 2012 Gala event cash sponsors: American Book Drive, Anthem Blue Cross, Amgen and TeQava.
VIP tickets are also available for a special meet-and-greet with Lauren during a private cocktail reception immediately preceding the gala. Guests will receive a copy of Lauren Conrad's newest book -- "Lauren Conrad Beauty" -- a guide to all things beauty, which hits stores October 16, 2012.
