Labguru Integrates Multiplexing Protocols

BioData Expands Its Flagship Product Labguru by Adding Luminex Protocols to Labguru's Growing Database of Protocols

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL--(Marketwire - Sep 25, 2012) - BioData Ltd., a scientific software service company funded by Digital Science, a division of Macmillan Publishers, today announced the integration of more than 30 protocols from Luminex Corporation into its Labguru lab management service. Luminex protocols are the latest addition to Labguru's growing database of protocols, including many from Sigma Life Science and Nature Protocols. Labguru helps life science researchers more easily track tasks, perform experiments and streamline their daily work.

With vendor protocols such as those from Luminex accessible through Labguru and its scientific iPad app, it becomes considerably easier to plan and run experiments. When a protocol is added to a researcher's Labguru account, its steps and procedures are automatically included. With optional timers and alarms for each step, researchers can successfully conduct multiple simultaneous experiments. Each protocol can be quickly copied and adapted for each experiment. Furthermore, the protocol's associated kits, reagents and materials are automatically added to the account's materials module. The materials module enables users to easily manage lab orders by tracking supplies, storage, vendors and orders, thereby saving time for the bench researcher.

"We are very pleased to include protocols from a leader in multiplexing. We are constantly working to include value-added content to Labguru and ease the way science is performed today. In the coming months we intend to add more content to Labguru from additional leading companies," says Jonathan Gross, Founder and Co-CEO of BioData.

Labguru is a collaborative research management tool designed for academic labs. Labguru's customizable and affordable web application helps labs plan experiments, track research project progress, share results and notes, manage inventories and ordering, and organize related documents, protocols and data. A free companion Labguru iPad app helps bench researchers juggle numerous experiments simultaneously. The app helps researchers track progress of experiments (using multi-timers and alarms), record results and notes, and sync the information with their Labguru account.

Individual Labguru accounts are free and can be setup in less than a minute. A dedicated customer support team helps users import existing data and get started. Visit www.labguru.com for short video tutorials and more information.
