SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 28, 2012) - Kevin Dunn, Trustnode CEO, today announced that Kaweah Delta Healthcare District selected Trustnode as their benefit education and enrollment support platform for all of their 2012 open enrollment core and voluntary benefits offerings. Kaweah Delta Health Care District is a community-owned, 581-bed healthcare facility serving the Central Valley of Visalia via 3,200 employees on eight campuses in Tulare and Kings counties. Trustnode is the creator of an online, interactive benefits education and enrollment platform driven by The Potters and Friends™, a cast of programmable, animated cartoon characters linked to an insurance knowledge base.
Following the success garnered using Trustnode for voluntary life and long-term disability offerings during their 2011 open enrollment, Kaweah Delta asked Trustnode to create a comprehensive education and enrollment support platform for all of their 2012 open enrollment benefits offerings. The Trustnode platform, which has been integrated into Kaweah Delta's PeopleSoft HRIS, covers all of Kaweah Delta's core healthcare benefits offerings -- medical, dental, vision, FSA -- and includes the previously-offered voluntary life and long-term disability offerings. Trustnode is credited with increasing participation rates in these voluntary offerings during the 2011 open enrollment period 60% over the prior year's open enrollment period. During that period, Trustnode was used in conjunction with Kaweah Delta's paper-based benefits communications and accessed via a link within Kaweah Delta's employee benefits website.
"Implementing Trustnode within our existing PeopleSoft HRIS was painless. We planned out what we needed to meet our deadline, and it was really easy; no problems at all. The Trustnode platform was customized to our plans and greatly reduced the need for our HR and benefits staff to explain our benefits and answer frequently-asked questions -- Harvey was very well received by the employees and staff. This was our first year doing open enrollment online. We're really glad we took the initiative to use Trustnode to help us," stated Scott Lunsford, Kaweah Delta HRIS Manager.
"We're thrilled to be helping Kaweah Delta -- the premier health system and second largest employer in the Central Valley of Visalia -- educate their employees about their benefits offerings and support enrollment within their newly-expanded PeopleSoft HRIS. We're seeing significant increases in participation rates of voluntary benefits based on results from the more than 60 employer groups using our proprietary platform. Our built-in user-experience survey reveals that employees using the platform consistently identify their experience as 'extremely helpful,' the highest ranking. We're confident Kaweah Delta employees will think so, too," stated Kevin.
Trustnode's proprietary online, interactive platform is driven by The Potters and Friends™, a cast of programmable, animated cartoon characters linked to a benefits and insurance knowledgebase. These characters respond to user input to create a personalized, interactive conversation and educate prospects about benefits and insurance products using story-telling and dynamic data visualizations. Trustnode has developed conversation modules for each benefit and insurance product. A proprietary configuration utility enables Trustnode to quickly modify off-the-shelf product modules to conform with employers' specific benefit plan design.
