BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 21, 2012) - Kandessa Media will soon launch its second QSR (Quick-Serve Restaurant) industry news magazine, Chain Pulse. The foodservice publisher's quick-serve industry news and insights will now be available on digital, tablet and smartphone platforms.
Kandessa's first QSR industry news magazine, Quick Serve Leader, surprised many when it hit 4,000 unique monthly readers last week, a near-200-percent increase in readership and garnering more than a 10-percent online readership compared to the top two online publications for fast food and fast casual management.
Quick Serve Leader focuses its content on the Northeast Corridor, approximately 20 percent of the country in terms of state count.
Quick Serve Leader's portfolio of in-depth trend-based news articles, industry insights and executive leadership interviews resonated with readers looking for a new choice in quick-serve industry news. Delivering on quality, articles are fewer and more focused on the business intelligence that quick-serve managers need. Chain Pulse follows Quick Serve Leader in its mission, but is differentiated as a subscriber-based digital and mobile publication.
"We're pleased to bring our fresh, focused content to QSR industry influencers and decision makers in a format that they can read and digest in an 'on-the-go' fashion," says Managing Publisher Rick Zambrano. "Our loyal readers now have access to stories on their work devices, and the digital platforms will also bring us new readers we've not touched before."
The publisher behind Chain Pulse magazine has been disruptive and unique, and offers industry readers and marketers compelling content as a basis for connecting with each other. Kandessa's CPM rates for marketers are held to $45 and below and its marketing and advertising programs within QSR are integrated between its two publications, Quick Serve Leader and Chain Pulse.
Co-branding opportunities are available for industry marketers as well. "We have the ability to replicate the brand impressions of companies during entire Chain Pulse readership sessions through our Channel Plus advertising program," notes Zambrano. "It's a great use of technology that allows those that market to restaurant leaders the ability to launch high-impact campaigns."
The October issue of Chain Pulse will focus on the fast casual bakery segment. The November issue brings business intelligence on franchising and private equity in the industry.
Kandessa Media also publishes Eatery Pulse Magazine, a full-service and multi-segment publication that is one of a handful of publications that are both charitable and published in both English and Spanish. "We owe part of our success to a focus on quality of content, not quantity," adds Zambrano. "The rest we owe to originating from the industry and providing an 'inside-in' perspective on the business of quick-serves -- that's the reason for our hyper-growth."
