Ivanhoe Australia Limited (TSX:IVA)(ASX:IVA), announces that it has finalised its acquisition of the 51% interest in certain Emmerson Resources Limited's ("Emmerson") tenements in the Tennant Creek region.

Under the terms of the joint venture agreement entered into in 2009, Ivanhoe Australia was required to spend $18 million on exploration work on the joint venture tenements to earn its 51% interest. This expenditure level was confirmed in November 2012.
