CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 12, 2011) - The #1 Jewish mother's matchmaking network -- TheJMom.com -- is launching in the Holy land!
In almost a year, TheJMom has connected 1,000 caring parents throughout the U.S. and Canada with the hopes of finding their child their beshert. Now Israeli moms have the same chance!
"We just couldn't neglect our JMoms in Israel any longer," said Danielle Weisberg, who along with her brother Brad, co-founded the site. "They've been asking when it would be their turn to help find their kids' beshert and we've been listening. Tu B'av is the perfect occasion to launch our site in Israel. Let the matchmaking begin!"
The launch coincided with the celebration of Tu B'av -- the Israeli version of Valentine's Day. Users can search the site by their location in Israel. (The site will launch in Hebrew at a later date.)
"My daughter finished her military service and is starting business school," said Hana from Kiryat Gat. "She doesn't have time to date. I want to help her find a nice Jewish boy."
"I want to see if I can help my daughter and find her some nice Jewish boys to date," said Liza from Yoqne'am llit.
How the site works: A parent writes a profile, including a photograph of their child and information about their family as well. Then, if the parent spots a potential set up, they contact the parent of the potential date. Once both parties agree to set up their kids, the profiles are emailed to their children. The kids then take it from there and choose to email their potential match.
"Our mom says that she's only as happy as her least happy child. So why not let someone who loves you help out?" said Brad. "Our JMoms know best. They want to help their children find love and now they can in Israel."
TheJMom.com gives the power of matchmaking through the Internet to parents. Moms can browse potential partners, email other parents for more information about their children and family, and set them up on a casual date. Browse the site, sign up your child, and start searching!
