MINOT, ND -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 16, 2007 -- Investors Real Estate Trust (NASDAQ: IRETS) today announced that its Board of Trustees has scheduled the Company's 2007 Annual Meeting of Shareholders for Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. CDT at the International Inn, 1505 North Broadway, Minot, North Dakota. The record date for determination of the common shareholders entitled to vote at the meeting has been set at the close of business on July 20, 2007.
