SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2012) - The Invasive Species Centre (ISC) is now receiving applications for access to $700,000 of program funding.
The ISC, based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to coordination of research and technology transfer to mitigate the ecological and economic threats of aquatic and terrestrial invasive species. Organizations or groups engaged in invasive species research, education and outreach, management, or policy are encouraged to submit applications. Conservation organizations, non-government organizations, academia, Aboriginal organizations, municipalities, and, provincial and federal government agencies are examples of organizations expected to participate in this call for proposals.
Submissions must be developed using the ISC Preliminary Project Application Form which can be accessed at www.invasivespeciescentre.ca/Application.aspx. Applications must be submitted to no later than 12:00 noon, Monday, October 15, 2012.
