REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 22, 2012) - Host Analytics, the leader in cloud corporate performance management (CPM), today appointed enterprise software industry veteran Dave Kellogg as its new Chief Executive Officer. Kellogg has more than 20 years of leadership experience at high-growth companies, including serving as CEO of MarkLogic, CMO of Business Objects and an independent board member at Aster Data.
"Cloud computing is systematically transforming all aspects of enterprise information technology and Host Analytics is the clear leader in the market for cloud-based CPM," said Kellogg. "CPM is a multi-billion dollar market and we are still in the early days in its transformation to the cloud. Host Analytics is extremely well positioned in this transformation and I look forward to continuing the company's success and taking it to the next level."
Prior to joining Host Analytics, Kellogg spent almost a year as senior vice president and general manager of the Service Cloud at salesforce.com, where he oversaw one of the company's fastest-growing businesses. Previously, Kellogg spent six years as CEO at MarkLogic, and headed marketing at Business Objects for nearly a decade. In addition, Kellogg has also performed advisory roles at leading technology companies, including MongoDB developer 10gen, Hadapt and Tableau Software.
A recognized industry thought leader on topics ranging from venture capital and Silicon Valley culture to cloud, big data and social enterprise technologies, Kellogg authored a highly regarded blog for five years and remains active on Twitter @Kellblog.
"Dave Kellogg has the right pedigree and joins at a time to lead Host Analytics into hundreds of millions in revenues," said Steve Baloff, general partner at ATV and Host Analytics board member. "As the only vendor with a complete cloud CPM suite, Host Analytics is an established, customer-driven business, which is experiencing record growth and proving the potential of the cloud to transform an industry."
Former CEO Jon Kondo, stepping down after four successful years, will move on to new opportunities. During his tenure, Kondo raised $30M in venture capital, built the management team, grew the customer community to approaching 300 customers, and most recently led the company in closing a record quarter.
