PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - Travelers can comfortably extend business trips or get away for a relaxing and free vacation thanks to the "Extended Vacation" sweepstakes from Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham®, which will award four travelers with up to 30 complimentary room nights at participating hotels across the country.
Now through Oct. 18, 2012, consumers can enter for the chance to win one of four prizes by visiting and "liking" the brand's newly launched Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hawthorn. Free nights will be awarded in the form of Wyndham Rewards® loyalty points. Wyndham Rewards is the guest loyalty program of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham and Wyndham Hotel Group and is the world's largest lodging loyalty program as measured by number of participating hotels, offering more than seven million active members the chance to earn and redeem points for stays at more than 6,500 hotels throughout more than 50 countries worldwide.
Throughout the sweepstakes period, the extended stay hotel brand will put one prize of free room nights up for grabs each week; each prize will be given to one randomly selected winner. The prize structure is as follows:
- Week one: an "extended" weekend (three free nights)
- Week two: a one-week getaway (seven free nights)
- Week three: a two-week stay (14 free nights)
- Week four: one month's worth of room nights (30 free nights)
Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham will also be extending free nights to America's military service members through the "Extended Vacation" sweepstakes. For every free night awarded to sweepstakes winners, the brand will donate the same number of room nights in the form of Wyndham Rewards points, for a total of 54 nights, to Hotels for Heroes. A Fisher House™ Foundation, Inc. program, Hotels for Heroes provides free hotel rooms through donations from individual travelers to wounded, injured and ill military men and women who are undergoing treatment at a military or VA medical center.

The "Extended Vacation" sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia ages 18 and older. Grand prize winners must be enrolled in the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program to receive and redeem points and can do so for free at www.wyndhamrewards.com.
