The Mobile Concierge presents the proven recommendations of the hotel's in-house concierge and helps guests cut through the existing fragmented travel planning applications and review websites. "We developed the itinerary directly into our Mobile Concierge because hoteliers wanted a way for their guests to manage what they had learnt about their hotel and local area as well as connect personally with their team," said Mark Edmondson, Guestfolio's Director of Technology. "When a guest makes a request, it's immediately distributed to the in-house concierge, front desk, valet or housekeeping staff by email or even SMS so that nothing is missed."
The Mobile Concierge also features targeted personalization, which ensures that only relevant information about the hotel and local area is presented to a guest based on their reservation specifics. This means that the content they see depends on variables such as their travel dates, demographic, country of residence or whether or not they are a repeat guest. "Our proprietary personalization system allows us to use guest data from a hotel's Property Management System (PMS) to display the appropriate content.
