WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Sep 25, 2012) - Recently, #72 Dexter Manley, NFL Super Bowl Champ, 1986 All-Pro Bowl defensive lineman of the year and one of the 70 greatest Washington Redskins players in the "Ring of Fame" suited up to tackle a whole new game plan when he began work as Gali Service Industries' (GSI) new Marketing Director last month. Manley is primarily responsible for communicating GSI's value to the public as well as developing new stronger relationships with prospective clients for the regional janitorial services company.
Based in Rockville, Maryland, GSI offers a wide spectrum of maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) services for its customers -- mainly office buildings, apartment complexes, sports arenas and entertainment facilities. To date, GSI is one of the Washington, DC-Metro area's largest and respected facilities maintenance, janitorial and integrated service management companies. It employs 1,500 workers, is located in 14 states mostly within the mid-Atlantic, Midwestern and Western United States, and is a GS-42 certified company with a steadfast commitment to eco-healthy cleaning.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to have Dexter aboard as the newest member of our GSI team," says GSI's Chief Operating Officer LeRoy Dock, CBSE. "It's always key to have a winning 'go-to' guy who can use his wide net of contacts to help get out the word on GSI's services." Dock explains that Manley will be extremely helpful in spreading the word on the premium and specialized cleaning services as well as a full menu of MRO services -- everything from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and landscaping and grounds work.
Francisco Gali, GSI's chairman & CEO agrees. "Dexter will assist us in helping to grow the company at what has already been a significant pace," explains Gali. "Recently, GSI has benefitted from enhancing its technology platform. Now, prospective clients -- building owners, property managers and service providers and technicians -- can use GSI's sophisticated technological tools and streamlined approach needed to confidently make wise operational outsourcing decisions, and to generate, receive and analyze accurate and timely information for strategic asset and maintenance management. We look to pass the ball to Dexter so he can get the word out on these new and exciting offerings."
Manley agrees and explains he's grateful for the opportunity that Gali Service Industries has provided. "GSI is a giant in the industry, and when you become part of a giant, it makes you an even bigger giant," says Manley. "I'm very proud to be associated with a minority-owned and operated business working with two leaders in the industry -- LeRoy Dock and Francisco Gali."
Dexter Manley was drafted in the fifth round (119th overall) of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, where he played for nine seasons. During his career with the Redskins, Manley won two Super Bowl titles and was a Pro Bowler in 1986 when he recorded 18.5 sacks. He later played for the Phoenix Cardinals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
