Greengro Technologies Names Three to Staff, Advisory Board

Rafael Quezada, Stephanie Rudat & Ned Madden

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 2, 2013) - Greengro Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GRNH), a national leader in both indoor and outdoor aquaponic and hydroponic systems and grow rooms, has named three new staff members. Serving on the corporate advisory board are Rafael O. Quezada, aquaponics manager; Stephanie Rudat, social media director; and Ned Madden, publicist and marketing director.

"We wish to welcome Rafael, Stephanie and Ned to the Greengro team," said James Haas, CEO of GreenGro Technologies. "They fit in well with the company's philosophy of 'Three Pillars to Success' on which we base our performance -- Social Media and Online Activities, Sales Channel Development and Mergers and Acquisitions."

Quezada, an aeroponics and aquaponics innovator, artist and builder, will provide construction and technology expertise on Greengro projects. Rudat, a professional Internet blogger and activist, will oversee the corporate website and activities involving social network communities like Facebook and Twitter. Madden will provide writing services and work with business and trade media editors and reporters.

Rafael O. Quezada

Quezada is founder and CEO of The Waters Wheel, a firm that specializes in design and construction of certified-organic, recirculating water farms (including aeroponic, hydroponic, aquaponic, and aqua-bioponic systems). These systems use water in place of soil (or soil developed from aquaculture and specialized media). Besides accelerating growth of densely concentrated crops and making better tasting produce, recirculating water agriculture conserves as much as 95% of water needed to farm in soil. Quezada is also principal design partner and licensee with ACS Design Build Group (ACS-DBG), California State Licensed General Contractor, B-1 #766387. ACS-DBG will plan, design and manage development of multiple projects for Greengro Technologies. The first collaboration is scheduled to break ground August 8, 2013. A recirculating water farm will be implemented for the new City of Youth Charter School, located in the food desert of Los Angeles, on land donated by New Hope Baptist Church, 5200 South Central Ave. A new solar parking lot will provide off-grid power for all farming operations. Greengro Technologies will provide money for startup and will help equip the facilities with Greengro products. City of Youth has plans to clone the project at multiple locations, bringing fresh foods and a much needed agriculture economy to the urban community. School curricula will be taught in and with nature.

"Together, Rafael and Greengro Tech plan to farm inner cities, where past attempts have failed to meet real needs, where nutrition is lacking and poor health is the result," said Haas. "For projects like City of Youth, our operating principle is, 'If you feed people a fish, they will eat for a day. If you teach them how to grow healthy produce and aquariums, a whole economy will generate from their hands, empowered.'"

Stephanie Rudat

Stephanie Rudat is a social media professional and blogger for the Huffington Post, which has characterized her as one of "11 Twitter Activists You Should Be Following." She is the co-founder of Alliance for Youth Movements (AYM), a global network that promotes innovative uses of technology to safeguard human rights, promote good governance and foster civic empowerment. In 2011, Stephanie launched (think) CONSORTIUM to empower influential leaders and activists in technology, media, and the private and public sectors to promote tolerance, strengthen networks, provide trainings and develop partnerships. Among other projects, she is currently active with A Human Right -- a San Francisco-based NGO working on initiatives to connect people to the Internet.

Ned Madden

Ned Madden is a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) consultant and marketing professional. He is a contributing writer for Produce Grower Magazine and also writes about urban agriculture topics for ECT News Network. Ned has an extensive background as a consultant, Internet entrepreneur, writer, editor, journalist and publicist.
