Greengro Technologies Launches the First Phase of BP Gardens

The Project Represents a Paradigm Shift in the Produce Marketing, Growing and Distribution Supply Chain

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - May 10, 2013) - Greengro Technologies (PINKSHEETS: GRNH) today has announced the launch of an ambitious greenhouse growing, marketing and distribution project to serve Southern California regional communities, restaurants, and grocers with fresh, chemical/pesticide free, produce and specialty culinary herbs.

The first-phase project's prime real estate space is strategically located in the heart of Southern California's Buena Park on a 4.5 acre site. The property currently features 30,000 sq.ft. of greenhouses, which will be refurbished by So. Cal renewable energy engineering and commercial building contractor, ACS Construction LP. Each greenhouse will be purpose built and will highlight the most advanced, and cost effective, commercial growing systems in use today. Further, there is an abundance of open area for an additional 18,000 sq. ft of greenhouse for research and development and future community activities.

BP Gardens, LLC (of which Greengro Technologies has a 51% controlling interest), will leverage its industry expertise to create one of the most advanced cost-effective models of energy efficient, urban, controlled environment agriculture in the United States. This pilot project will use, and improve upon, the latest designs in Hydroponic, Aeroponic and Aquaponic systems for producing consistent, high quality, locally grown produce. Moreover, the project will employ unique, project specific, green renewable energy and distribution solutions to ensure the smallest possible carbon footprint.

The company has tapped Dien McCall to spearhead operations, project management and construction oversight. Mr. McCall is a highly qualified engineering contractor with over 30-years of professional experience, including 18-years of experience in the renewable energy industry with a focus on solar PV distributed generation. In California, Dien holds Class A, B, C, C-10 and C-36 contractor licenses and has been the general contractor on a wide range of projects ranging from large commercial rooftop PV installations, energy audits, retrofits, to tenant improvement and commercial building repositioning. Dien has developed substantial client relationships with BP Solar, Wal-Mart, Costco, Home Depot, General Motors, and a variety of municipal clients.

"We are in the midst of a movement and the demand for locally grown, organic, produce has never been stronger. This project is ideally suited to fill that demand. I am happy to lead this project and my expertise in green technologies will ensure successful project completion, on time and on budget," states McCall.

BP Gardens provides Greengro a platform for continued sustainable revenue streams and profitability. It is anticipated that the company will be able to secure pre-purchase agreements with local restaurants and grocers that will consume the entire annual crop yield.

Further, BP Gardens will serve as a valid proof of concept that will be scalable and replicable in additional strategic locations across the country."We have been evaluating this projects potential and viability from Q4 of 2012 and after crunching the numbers down to the last tomato we are confident that we have a built in competitive advantage in both growing methods and supply chain optimization.. We continue to advance sales from our e-commerce and wholesale channels and we are excited about this projects ability to create a predictable and sustainable revenue model for the benefit of our shareholders," states David Rudat, Greengro COO and BP Gardens CFO.

Vocational Training and Job Creation

GreenGro, through BP Gardens, has the opportunity to establish school and community educational initiatives where the skills and knowledge of hydroponic farming techniques are taught vocationally, equipping the next generation of leaders with the tools they can use to further advance the clean food supply chain utilizing urban farming technologies.

Additionally, BP Gardens plans to form a strategic relationship with Courage-US an organization that supports getting veterans and disabled veterans into the workforce with meaningful jobs and career opportunities.
