Government of Canada Lends Support to 3rd Femmessor Bas-Saint-Laurent Symposium

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Femmessor Bas-Saint-Laurent has been granted funding from the Government of Canada to host its 3rd annual symposium, "Relevez le défi! La relève au féminin : une force économique," which takes place this coming October 25 in Rimouski.

"By lending this concrete support to entrepreneurship, the Government of Canada is sustaining a new force of development in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, while at the same time stimulating the growth of the national economy," said Minister Lebel.

During the day-long symposium, several speakers will address the issue of entrepreneurial succession. The event will serve as an opportunity for participants to network, broaden their knowledge on a variety of topics such as ethics, values, leadership, and successful teamwork, and hear testimonials from women who have taken over management of an enterprise.

Information:

This support from the Government of Canada, granted in the form of a $28,125 non-repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
