Government of Canada Awards Funding to Rackam Inc.

SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Rackam Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to undertake commercialization activities.

"By lending its financial support to Rackam, the Government of Canada is once again acknowledging the fundamental role businesses play in creating jobs and growing regional economies," said Minister Lebel.

The products of this Sherbrooke-based firm are the result of research and development. Rackam has developed a thermal solar system for industrial use and ensures the design and manufacture of thermal power plants and their integration into their clients' processes (turnkey projects). Rackam has now started producing and commercializing its product. The company estimates that this project will lead to the creation of six jobs.
