KELOWNA - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident near Radium Hot Springs on Sept. 23, 2012.

The man is Donald Francis Chow, aged 73, from Calgary, AB.

Mr. Chow was a passenger in a vehicle travelling north along Highway 93 in the Kootenay National Park when the incident occurred.

Mr. Chow was confirmed deceased at the scene by emergency personnel, and the driver of the vehicle was transported to Foothills Hospital in Calgary in critical condition.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Chow has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
