RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ--(Marketwire - October 1, 2008) - GalleryCollection.com, the leading business Christmas cards and personalized Holiday cards publisher, announced today its donation of 12,000 all occasion greeting cards and holiday cards to Gilda's Club Northern New Jersey.

The donation consists of a variation of 23 greeting card designs including sympathy cards, thank you cards, and birthday cards. "These beautiful cards will help our members and others to think of donating for those occasions," said Lenore Guido, Executive Director of Gilda's Club NNJ.

Each greeting card design will be displayed at Gilda's Club NNJ in Hackensack. Monetary supporters will be given the opportunity to choose a card to send to anyone they know who has been touched by cancer.

Back in June, Gilda's Club NNJ announced they would have to suspend operations because of lack of funding. Thankfully, Hartz Mountain, a developer located in Secaucus, rescued the Northern New Jersey chapter with a $200,000 donation. "We were very much moved by Hartz Mountain's altruistic deed and felt compelled to provide support to Gilda's Club in The Gallery Collection way -- in the form of greeting cards," stated H.L. DeVore, Chief Marketing Officer of GalleryCollection.com.

Gilda's Club is named in honor of comedienne Gilda Radner, who battled ovarian cancer for several years. It was Radner's wish that no one face cancer alone, and following her death in 1989, Gilda's Club was established as a community of free support for anyone living with cancer, along with their families and friends.

Gilda's Club Northern New Jersey is the eighth clubhouse to be established in the Gilda's Club worldwide network. It officially opened its signature red door on April 13, 2000.
