Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia Opens Friday, June 7

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 22, 2013) - Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX) today announced that Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia will open to the public on Friday, June 7.

Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia is located at Lambton Mall, at Lambton Mall Road and Exmouth Street.

Tickets will be available for purchase on Tuesday, June 4, through Cineplex.com and the Cineplex mobile app. The theatre box office opens 30 minutes before the first shows begin on the afternoon of Friday, June 7.

Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia features eight screens and nearly 1,600 seats - including Sarnia's most cutting edge movie-going experience, an UltraAVXTM auditorium. UltraAVX auditoriums offer a fully immersive cinema experience, complete with wall-to-wall screens, Dolby® Atmos surround sound and upgraded seats that guests can reserve in advance. The theatre will be one of the first in Canada to feature this advanced surround sound offering.

Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia is RealD 3D capable and all auditoriums feature digital projection. In addition to traditional movie snacks, the theatre will offer Cineplex Entertainment's proprietary hot food offering, Outtakes, which provides Angus burgers, hot dogs, calzones, and other items. The theatre will also offer TCBY frozen yogurt and Starbucks coffee.

The Famous Players Lambton 9 theatre will close after the last show on Thursday, June 6.

Cineplex Entertainment will host a special tour of Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia for accredited media on Wednesday, June 5. Specific details about the media tour will be announced next week.
