LOUISVILLE, KY--(Marketwire - Aug 28, 2012) - Franchise consulting network FranNet has made Inc. magazine's exclusive list of the nation's fastest-growing, privately held companies for the third consecutive year.
The annual Inc. 5000 list ranks companies on their three-year growth rates; FranNet's growth rate was 49 percent from 2009-2011, with strong 2011 revenue.
FranNet's ranking follows two consecutive years on the Inc. 500 list, the top 10 percent of the 5000 list and one of the most prestigious registers in American business. The company registered nearly nine times the revenue in 2010 that it generated in 2007, and in 2009 nearly eight times its revenue level in 2006.
This year, FranNet reported a significant first-quarter increase in sales over the first quarter in 2011, and the company expects to post record sales this year.
"It's incredibly rewarding to be recognized consistently by Inc. for our steady growth," said Jania Bailey, FranNet's president and COO. "An astonishing number of former corporate workers have come to us for help in realizing their entrepreneurial dreams, and the numbers reflect the demand for our services."
FranNet is a franchise matchmaker that connects likely franchise owners with established national brands. Entrepreneurs who use FranNet succeed at much higher rates than typical startups; a recent company survey of more than 1,200 former FranNet clients revealed 85 percent were still in business after five years, compared to 50 percent for typical small businesses.
"Like the franchise industry overall, which is projected to add 168,000 jobs to the U.S. economy this year, we're doing very well," Bailey said. "Now is an excellent time for professionals from any background to look at franchise ownership as a way to achieve financial stability and take control of their careers."
