FORT COLLINS, CO--(Marketwire - Jul 16, 2012) - Fort Collins Club (FCC), a northern Colorado fitness center, is pleased to announce that they are helping keep kids in good health this summer by offering additional sessions of swim lessons and holding a Kids' Triathlon to help fund the Cardiac Kids Chapter of the Children's Hospital in Denver.
Fort Collins Club owner and General Manager Todd Heenan says, "Kids are a huge part of our membership and why we do what we do here at the Club. Our childcare program is stellar. We are a family-oriented gym and we want to keep our kids in shape too."
FCC is also planning the annual Kids' Triathlon, which will be held on Sunday, August 26. The first wave will begin at 8 am and is designed for kids ages 4-12 years old. All participants are reasonably expected to negotiate the entire course.
The event places emphasis on fun and participation, so times will not be recorded. FCC would like to remind families who plan on attending to be supportive of all participants. The Kids' Triathlon is not limited to just Kids' Club members. Any child from ages 4-12 is welcome to participate in the Kids' Triathlon.
The triathlon costs $30 for the first child per family and $25 dollars for each additional child. Early registration will end on August 1 and late registration closes on August 24. For more information, including information on available scholarships, contact FCC's front desk.
All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Cardiac Kids Chapter of the Children's Hospital in Denver. Cardiac Kids is a specific Children's Hospital department that works with children who have heart disorders. In addition, Cardiac Kids also provides support for families who have children with cardiac disorders.
Those interested in additional swim classes can also visit the front desk. Extreme popularity has enabled FCC to offer another session of swim classes. The newly added session of five swim lessons will be held July 30-August 10. FCC follows the "Learn to Swim" levels that are defined by the American Red Cross. From introduction to water skills to skill proficiency, there are swim lessons for every ability level.
Parents who wish to enroll their children in swim lessons but have conflicting schedules should inquire about the Kids' Club, an FCC program that provides children with activities for a few hours a day. Sign up at the front desk for more specific information.
