The root and branch repositioning project which started by listening to 350 customers worldwide about Eye's current brand perception was overseen by Alastair Bannerman, Global Marketing Director who joined Eye in May 2011. He commented:
"It was our intention from the outset to become the most customer centric, future facing OOH business in all the markets we operate. The initial client research uncovered some fascinating insights and a clear opportunity to create something different."
The repositioning, which was conducted with the help of London based brand agency DixonBaxi, started internally with the development of new cultural values and behaviors plus a new collaborative approach to generating client solutions. This was followed in February by a new company logo and visual identity system that has most recently culminated in the launch of a new customer magazine and global website www.eyeoutofhome.com
New offerings such as Invent -- Eye's strategic sales division and Amplify -- the world's largest network of mobile enabled DOOH units, meet the new brand ambition.
Bannerman added, "Media companies are traditionally good at exclaiming change to the outside world before that change has had a chance to become real internally. By starting with our talent, culture and behaviors it meant that by the time we launched our new sales approach, offerings and website it all hung together."
The website was built by Design Royale and the customer magazine was produced by Frost publishing, both in Sydney. Bannerman concluded, "It has been a real team effort and everyone has played their part, early feedback from our customers is really positive and we are committed to continuing to evolve to meet their needs."
