Eastern Platinum Limited: Untimely Passing of a Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2012) - Eastern Platinum Limited ("Eastplats" or the
"Company")(TSX:ELR)(AIM:ELR)(JSE:EPS) - It is with deep regret that the Board of Eastern Platinum Limited learned of the
sudden passing of Mr. Zwelakhe Sisulu on 4th October. Mr. Sisulu was the lead member of our empowerment partnership as
well as a director of Eastplats since 2009.
