dotloop Names Garrin Wong as Vice President of Engineering to Lead Product Innovation

Fastest Growing Software Company in Real Estate History Adds Former Yahoo! Product Lead to Expand Engineering, Product Teams

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - Aug 23, 2012) - dotloop, the first real estate software company that eliminates paperwork, today announced that Garrin Wong has joined the company as vice president of engineering. Wong brings extensive product management and leadership experience to the company and will be instrumental in growing its engineering and product teams amid tremendous demand from agents and consumers alike to eliminate paperwork in real estate.

Wong comes to dotloop from Yahoo!, where he served as director of product management for the company's mobile and personalization division. Wong also led engineering operations for Yahoo!'s 700-person media technology division, a role in which he expanded Yahoo!'s development centers around the world; integrated several startups, including Flickr and Citizen Sports; and supported several of Yahoo!'s core media and search products. Prior to Yahoo!, Wong worked at PayPal where he led its integration with eBay, resulting in more than $2 billion in monthly transactions through the site.

Wong joins the team during a period of incredible growth and momentum. dotloop is currently used by more than 20 percent of real estate agents in the U.S. and Canada who rely on the platform to close more deals and satisfy clients' demand for a more digital experience throughout the real estate transaction process.

dotloop, one of the world's fastest growing business software companies, has added more than 150,000 new clients in 2012 and is now serving more than 6.5 million buyers and sellers. The company has also announced its relationships with industry giants RE/MAX and Trulia and hired 15 new Loopers during the past two months, bringing its total headcount to 60, with plans to hire another 15 during the next 60 days across its Cincinnati and San Francisco locations. In addition, Inman News, the leading real estate news publication, named dotloop CEO Austin Allison as its 2012 "Innovator of the Year" earlier this month.

"dotloop is solving real problems, for real people, in one of the biggest industries out there -- and it has made a great business doing it. This is a huge opportunity given dotloop's rapid growth in an industry frustrated by paperwork," said Wong. "dotloop has a fundamentally different approach to a problem almost everyone faces every single day: overwhelming amounts of paperwork. The company has already attracted hundreds of thousands of loyal customers, and that's largely due to the dotloop team itself -- and to the high levels of passion and dedication each member brings to the office day in and day out."

"Since launching in 2009, we've made a lot of headway in our mission to eliminate paperwork in real estate, and Garrin's an invaluable addition to our team to seize the momentum we've built," said dotloop CEO Austin Allison. "Garrin's pedigree and leadership will be instrumental as we build out our team in San Francisco and invest heavily in our product and engineering teams in Cincinnati that have made dotloop the go-to solution for brokers, agents and consumers who are tired of dealing with paperwork."
