BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2012) - Kandessa Media has launched its latest news magazine, Chain Pulse. The publication for chain restaurant C-suite execs, franchisees, operators, owners and their managers marks the first time the foodservice publisher's quick-serve industry news and insights are readily available on a digital platform. The publisher of news and insights for over 7,000 recurring readers in the industry also said that the tablet and smartphone editions would be available and deployed in time for the November issue.
Its Insider members were among the first to experience the October Bakery Chain issue, including an analysis on the positioning and future of bakery chains, an executive Q&A with a 900-unit chain president and emerging trends in mobile payments.
"When we started, it was unlikely that we would have this much appeal in a very tough foodservice space that poses a challenge for many well-seasoned publishers," says Rick Zambrano, managing publisher. "This is our second industry news magazine for top QSR management and it's through compelling content and a loyal following that we arrived at this juncture."
Digital Chain Pulse's sister publication, Quick Serve Leader, focuses its content on the Northeast Corridor, approximately 20 percent of the country in terms of state count, but has more than a 10-percent comparable readership to the top two online publications for fast food and fast casual management. Kandessa projects 29,000 readers by the end of 2014 in its quick-service track, and is currently exploring strategic partnerships to reach that goal, in tandem with its social project, Kelevate.
"What started as an idea for a New England restaurant newsletter by some food writers and a former restaurant analyst has turned into a strong, entrenched venture in the Northeast Corridor that engages management professionals with hard-hitting business intelligence to empower them to make better decisions," adds Zambrano. " ...and to be informed and inspired."
Chain Pulse is available through subscription, or through a trial subscription as a Kandessa Insider member or LinkedIn group member. Annual subscriptions are $24.95. Industry professionals and influencers can click over to ChainPulse.com for more information or subscribe at digital.ChainPulse.com.
Co-branding opportunities exist for industry marketers. The technology behind Chain Pulse allows for unique marketing opportunities across a digital, web and mobile platform. The November issue focuses on private equity in the restaurant industry, as well as pizza trends.
Kandessa's recipe for hyper-acceptance has been simple: engage readers with trend-based news and insights, understand that "less is more," position itself between research firms and regular trade publications, and follow proven journalistic models delivered by publishers like award-winning Penton Media and a few others.
