PEORIA, AZ--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2012) - CMS is proud to announce that Richard Bren has been hired to serve as Vice President of Strategic Sales, in order to expand CMS' market base and bring its industry-leading, proprietary technology to as many client companies and independent contractors as possible. With over 25 years of experience in the transportation vertical, Bren brings the skills and experience required to help CMS sustain the growth it has demonstrated over the past several years.
"I was originally drawn to CMS because it provides a phenomenal service to both trucking companies and independent contractors," said Bren. "By using the company's catalog of service offerings, known as ICM Power, both parties can cut costs, eliminate paperwork and increase efficiency. With such obvious benefits, these are products and services that those in the trucking industry need to utilize across the board."
Prior to joining CMS, Bren was the Vice President, Commercial Auto Truck Program, for Gateway Insurance Company in St. Louis, Mo., where he coordinated the development of the company's truck insurance program. Rich also served as partner, sales manager, account executive and sales agent for Phoenix's Southwest Truck Insurance Group for eight years.
Bren remains an active member of the Board for the Arizona Trucking Association and previously served on the organization's Executive Committee. He has also served on multiple occasions as emcee for the New Mexico Trucking Association's Annual Truck Driving Championship event, as well having served as emcee for the Arizona Truck Driving Championships earlier this year. Rich has also participated in multiple trucker safety programs, including the Board for the American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA), the first Sleep Apnea & Trucking Conference in May of 2010, and ASAA's November 2011 Sleep Apnea and Multi-Modal Conference.
"Between his professional achievements and deep involvement in trucking organizations, Rich has amassed extensive knowledge of the industry," said CMS CEO Dennis Roccaforte. "In addition to the business end, Rich understands the trucking community, which will be important as we serve both client companies and independent contractors in that market."
