WESTBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) - Conservation Services Group (CSG) is a silver winner in the 2012 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award for its creative work for RePower, a residential energy efficiency campaign launched in Washington last year. CSG (www.csgrp.com), a national energy services firm, was recognized for its "Energy Champion" campaign, designed to encourage Kitsap County residents to make their homes more energy efficient and create a more sustainable community. Marketing materials included print ads, posters and digital displays.
Established in 1994, the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award "recognizes companies that demonstrate their ability to influence or reinforce a target audience's knowledge, attitudes and beliefs," according to the Summit International Awards (SIA). This year, judges from some of the world's largest advertising agencies, educational institutions and corporate creative departments reviewed 732 entries and selected 58 winners. Entries came from several countries including the U.S., Italy, Kuwait, China, Australia and Canada. "Distinguishing between creativity and effectiveness is a difficult task, so winning a Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award is a significant achievement," said Jocelyn Luciano, SIA executive director.
Hilary Franz is a former Bainbridge Island city council member and founding member of Positive Energy, a non profit group that promotes sustainability. She collaborated with CSG on the grant that funded RePower in 2010 and has worked with the firm ever since.
Franz said, "CSG's creative strategy has truly mobilized the public. Through bold graphics and community-inspired stories, the campaign has engaged homeowners and businesses. Using real community members for the ads, including high-profile resident Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent, made this campaign relevant and appealing. The program successfully uses the faces, stories and voices from our community to build trust, knowledge about the program and the value it offers homeowners." RePower (www.RePowerKitsap.org) was developed in collaboration with Puget Sound Energy and Cascade Natural Gas Corporation. The community-wide initiative offers in-home energy assessments, energy efficiency financing, cashback incentives and rebates. RePower also provides access to a local, skilled workforce to implement energy efficiency measures, making energy savings easier to achieve. In addition to providing marketing services, CSG implements energy efficiency measures and supplies tracking, reporting, measurement and verification for RePower.
