INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire - Aug 14, 2012) - Compendium ( www.compendium.com ), an online content marketing platform, introduced significant enhancements to its editorial calendar feature making it easier for marketers to plan, schedule and share content on blogs and social media channels.
The new editorial calendar makes planning content easier and helps marketers identify gaps in content development by enabling marketers to organize content by themes. Marketers can set a one-time or recurring theme by month, week or day. For example, marketers can specify a one-time monthly theme, such as Halloween, or may specify a recurring theme, such as a new product feature every Monday.
Scheduling content also is simplified. Marketers now can schedule social promotions via the editorial calendar. This gives marketers a consolidated view of editorial content and promotions, making it easier to balance content publishing and social media posts. New enhancements also allow marketers to drag and drop content and social promotions on the calendar, making it simple to rearrange calendar entries.
Sharing the editorial calendar across the organization also is easier. Marketers can give authors the ability to view the editorial calendar, which aids in content creation. In addition, marketers can export the calendar to Outlook, iCal or Gmail calendar, and share the export URL with others, eliminating the need for them to log into the system.
"Our new editorial calendar, integrated with Compendium's workflow features, is a giant leap in helping marketers plan more strategically," said Frank Dale, president and CEO of Compendium. "Users will find the editorial calendar saves them valuable time while also making their jobs significantly easier."
