Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund: Comite des sports de l'Ile Nepawa Inc. Receives Funding From Government of Canada

CLERVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 7, 2013) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Comité des sports de l'Île Népawa Inc. has been granted funding to upgrade the community centre it operates in the municipality of Clerval.

"By supporting Île Népawa's community centre renovation project, the Government of Canada is delivering on its commitment to improve the quality of life in our communities," said Minister Lebel.

The contribution from Canada Economic Development will be used to carry out various work, including installing a new electrical heating system, re-roofing, laying floors and renovating the kitchen area. Already under way, the project will extend through the fall of 2013.

"Our Government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," concluded Minister Lebel.
