Click-n-Shout Launches New Online Company in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - February 1, 2010) - Click-n-Shout, a new-collective buying Web
site, launched its national firm today in Cleveland. To celebrate, it is
hosting a fundraising competition among five local charities to see which
can encourage the most participants to join the Cleveland Clique on
Click-n-Shout.
Click-n-Shout offers location-specific discounts for products and services.
The site e-mails its customers one deal per day in the locations of their
choice. A minimum number of people must sign up for the deal in order to
make it active. Click-n-Shout uses the power of a group to make the prices
drop at restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, spas and sports events.
The charities participating in the kick-off competition include: ALSAC/St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital, Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, The
Littlest Heroes, PlayhouseSquare and Diabetes Association of Greater
Cleveland.
"By using the site and spreading the word, the charities are going to get
all revenue generated on a specific day to help each of their causes," said
Click-n-Shout CEO and founder Rob Scher.
In addition to receiving one day's revenues, the charity that drives the
most registrations will receive a grand prize, a week's worth of additional
revenue from Click-n-Shout.
Today, Feb. 1, for one day only, Click-n-Shout will offer a special
discount to its members on a one-hour personal training session at the
Painesville Slim&Fit Personal Weight Loss and Fitness center. Designed by
celebrity trainer Jaime Brenkus, creator of the 8-Minute Abs workout, the
session is valued at $50, but will be available on Click-n-Shout for only
$25 to benefit the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland.
On Tuesday, discount coupons to I-X Indoor Amusement Park will be on the
site to promote the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland. On Wednesday and
Thursday, two restaurants, 56 West and Sushi on the Roll, will donate food
certificates to benefit The Littlest Heroes and PlayhouseSquare,
respectively. Rounding off the week, Resistance Wear, an athletic apparel
company recently featured on the CBS Early Show, is offering $40 gift
certificates for $10 to benefit ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital.
The site suggests members of the Cleveland Clique share The Daily Clique
using Facebook, Twitter and e-mail. When customers refer friends, they get
$10 toward a purchase in the future if that friend makes a purchase. For
