NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 14, 2012) - ATCO/Atlantic recording group Straight No Chaser has just announced a handful of new tour dates, kicking off in New Brunswick, NJ on February 12th and making stops in Morristown, NJ, New York City, Charlottesville, VA and Charlotte, NC. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 17th. A full list of tour dates is available on Straight No Chaser's website at www.sncmusic.com/tour/.
As if that weren't enough, Straight No Chaser will also join Kathie Lee & Hoda for a 4th-hour live performance on NBC's TODAY, slated for Friday, December 21st (check local listings).
Currently in the midst of their #SNClive Fall 2012 Tour, Straight No Chaser -- who was featured on the "Generation YouTube" episode of ABC's 20/20 -- is using the tour to continue expanding on their social media interaction with fans. The group credits a large amount of its success to its early adoption and encouragement of sharing content. "This group started because of a viral video on YouTube," explains group member Randy Stine. "From day one, we have encouraged fans to upload photos and videos from our shows, even expanding venue photo policies to ensure that this was possible. We are excited to really drive home the idea of building a fan community around content by naming our tour #SNCLive." As its name suggest, #SNClive will be a multi-platform concert event, with the hashtag giving fans a way to search and categorize content specific to this tour across all social media platforms.
Straight No Chaser is currently putting the finishing touches on their fourth full-length album set to be released in 2013. More details on the upcoming album will be released very soon.
