Cambridge Semantics Enhances Operational Intelligence With Introduction of Anzo Connect and the Anzo Formula Language

Semantic-Based Solutions Enable Fast, Simple and Repeatable Means to Get Data Out of Relational Databases and Into the Hands of Business Users as Self-Service Information Requirements Evolve

BOSTON, MA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 7, 2011) - At the 2011 Semantic Technology Conference, Cambridge Semantics today announced the latest addition to its flagship Anzo Information Suite, Anzo Connect complemented by the new Anzo Formula Language. With Anzo Connect, a semantic ETL tool, database administrators and business users have a fast, simple, flexible, and repeatable process for integrating data in relational databases into semantic technology-powered solutions. The Anzo Formula language improves the self service data access and reporting capabilities needed to develop custom analytics that even business users can create. Together, these tools enable business to create operational intelligence solutions in minutes, not months. Anzo solutions integrate data from structured and unstructured sources, have flexible, beautiful, and interactive reporting dashboards, and -- most importantly -- enable businesses to go beyond BI by creating alerts, rules, and workflows to operationalize insights gained from data analysis.

Cambridge Semantics will be conducting a demo of the new Anzo Connect product all this week at the 2011 Semantic Technology Conference, booth #220.

Anzo Formula Language
With the Anzo Formula Language, users familiar with Microsoft Excel formulas will now find it easy to create sophisticated charts, dashboards, calculations and alerts. End user self-service is the goal of all Cambridge Semantics software, which allows business users to get the information they need to support their most critical business decisions today.

"Semantics-powered applications are gaining a lot of traction as companies look beyond business intelligence to use data to drive their operations. Other vendors have done little to address the real challenges of getting data out of databases and into a model that end users can easily understand," said Sean Martin, CTO of Cambridge Semantics. "With Anzo Connect our customers in the most data intensive industries can quickly and visually integrate, analyze and operationalize their data to deliver the up-to-the-minute information necessary to succeed in today's rapidly changing environment."
