This announcement follows type approval for the Company's wireless MRM devices by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).
ICASA regulates telecommunications, broadcasting and postal services in South Africa. Among its responsibilities, the Authority issues licenses to carriers and broadcasters, certifies communications equipment and manages the effective use of radio frequency spectrum.
CalAmp's Location Messaging Unit (LMU) products provide vital Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite tracking and cellular-based wireless communications capabilities for monitoring and tracking vehicles.
