Brookfield Financial Appoints Eric Michael Anton and Ronald A. Solarz as Managing Partners in New York City

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2011) - Brookfield Financial is pleased to announce that Eric Michael Anton and Ronald A. Solarz have joined the company as Managing Partners in New York City, adding proven experience and an entrepreneurial approach in commercial property brokerage to Brookfield Financial's global offering of advisory and investment banking services.

Mr. Anton and Mr. Solarz come to Brookfield Financial after a decade as principals at Eastern Consolidated. Both executives have successfully advised sophisticated real estate clients on dozens of large scale complex transactions across all asset classes. Mr. Anton spent 13 years at Eastern Consolidated, and prior to that, was an executive at Starrett Corporation, responsible for the construction of major mixed-use projects for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey and The City of New York. Mr. Anton began his career with Bovis Lendlease, the largest construction management firm in the United States.

He is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York, a Director of the Seven Park Avenue Cooperative Corporation and former Chairman of the Explorer Division of the Greater New York Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Anton is a graduate of Brown University and received his Masters Degree in Real Estate Finance from Columbia University.

Mr. Solarz was with Eastern Consolidated for 17 years and was previously President of Solarz Realty, a Manhattan-based real estate brokerage and investment firm he founded. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Mr. Solarz graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo Management School.

Mr. Anton and Mr. Solarz joined Brookfield Financial on Wednesday, September 21^st, 2011.
