SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 13, 2012) - BrightRoll, the world's largest provider of digital video advertising solutions, today announced the availability of mobile video real-time bidding (RTB) on the BrightRoll Exchange (BRX). For the first time ever, media buyers can bid on mobile video inventory and access online and mobile content using a single, streamlined RTB platform.
Before the launch of this new BrightRoll offering, access to true mobile video inventory was limited to fixed bid buying industry-wide, preventing media buyers from making decisions about mobile video impressions in real time. Integrating mobile video into the BRX RTB platform enables buyers to bid at the impression level on in-app and mobile web inventory, in addition to the online video inventory previously available to RTB buyers. Now buyers can bid on BRX video inventory through their own interface to connect with relevant audiences across multiple screens.
"We believe it's important to deliver mobile video RTB right now so that our advertisers can keep pace with the massive shift to mobile devices and target only the most valuable users at exactly the price they're willing to pay," said Tod Sacerdoti, CEO and founder of BrightRoll. "Advertisers can now easily scale and extend their campaigns to the most relevant audience possible across all platforms."
"Integrating the BRX mobile RTB solution into our offering helps us to provide our customers with the most advanced and forward-looking ad buying technology available today," said Richard Frankel, president of Rocket Fuel. "Brand marketers and their agencies can now leverage our integrated ad targeting solutions to reach the broadest possible audience within a single platform."
BrightRoll is significantly expanding the online and mobile video RTB inventory available on BRX, offering buyers more content as well as impressions across platforms than ever before. Based on the number of ad requests seen by the company in the first half of the year, it predicts that more than half of all digital video ads will be mobile by the end of 2012.
"As audiences continue to view video across more and more screens, the addition of mobile to the BRX RTB platform gives marketers yet another way to deliver their video messages with the efficiency and control of programmatic buying," said Mark Balabanian, senior director of business development of Turn. "We're excited to extend our partnership with BrightRoll into mobile, as it creates new opportunities for our clients to engage with their audiences wherever they are."
Additional insights into the benefits and impact of mobile video RTB will be discussed at the bi-annual BRX Video Summit held in New York on October 3.
