PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2011) - Box today announced a major integration with Jive, bringing the power of Box's cloud content management and collaboration to Jive 5, the industry-leading Social Business platform. With the Box for Jive app, users can easily access, share and collaborate on their Box files from directly within the Jive interface. The app is available immediately in the Jive Apps Market for all Jive 5 users.
"Both Box and Jive have seen tremendous traction with enterprises looking to boost productivity and revenue with simple, social solutions that are designed with the end user in mind," said Karen Appleton, VP of business development at Box. "We want to streamline and accelerate this transition from rigid legacy systems to dynamic cloud services by building powerful connections between our platforms that make it easier for users and IT alike to get their jobs done."
"We're committed to bringing leading cloud applications such as Box to our customers through the Jive Apps Market," said Christopher Morace, senior vice president of business development at Jive. "Box embodies the consumer-like simplicity that is key to the 'consumerprise' era, and will boost collaboration and sharing for our customers on the Jive 5 platform."
The Box for Jive 5 app makes it easy to share information stored on Box with the Jive network, as well as externally with non-Jive users. Thanks to this integration, users can:
- Leverage single sign-on to access Box within Jive 5
- Access their entire Box account within Jive to generate shared links and invite others to collaborate
- Share a link to a file or folder on the Jive What Matters activity stream from both the Box for Jive app or directly from Box
- Access all content through Box's mobile applications for iPhone, iPad, Android and TouchPad
Box makes it easy for more than six million users and 60,000 companies to share and manage all their content in the cloud. With the Jive 5 integration, joint customers will benefit from Jive's leading social business capabilities combined with Box's content-centric collaboration. The Box integration is available to all Jive 5 users, who can sign up for a free Box account from the Jive Apps Market; for additional security and administrative capabilities, companies can deploy the Box Enterprise edition to their organization at scale.
In addition to Jive, Box integrates with dozens of leading cloud solutions including Salesforce, NetSuite and Google Apps, making Box content easily accessible across critical business applications. Box users can also share and access content from the iPhone, iPad and Android devices. The company will continue to aggressively invest in expanding and deepening its partnerships, fueled by a $48M round of funding in February and consistent 3X year-over-year enterprise revenue growth.
