TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 26, 2012) - The Canadian Comedy Awards Foundation in association with The Comedy Network are pleased to announce that Canadian icon Alan Thicke will host The Best of the Fest at the Randolph Theatre (formerly Bathurst Street Theatre) Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8:30pm, featuring some of Canada's best stand-up talent including Nikki Payne, Kate Davis, Ron Sparks, Dave Merheje, and Pete Zedlacher.

As previously announced, Thicke will also serve as host of the 13th Annual Canadian Comedy Awards (CCAs), happening Aug. 26 at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York. The CCAs will also salute Canadian comedy institution This Hour Has 22 Minutes with a gala performance on Aug. 24 at the Imperial Room of the Fairmont Royal York, hosted by CBC's Peter Mansbridge. Plus, an all-star showcase of this year's CCA nominees takes place Aug. 23-25 at Comedy Bar.
