("Broad Dynamic") has deployed a new Media Sales & Traffic solution built on the Appian Cloud BPM Suite. Broad Dynamic is one of the major media operators for the Metro System in Beijing. Media Sales & Traffic is a sales and operations management solution that includes dozens of pre-built processes and dashboards covering all aspects of opportunity registration, sales quoting, client onboarding, contracting, advertisement production fulfillment and on-going account maintenance. The major enterprise solution, developed and deployed in only four months, leverages Appian's native Mobile BPM capabilities and social collaboration interface to optimize and accelerate execution of critical internal and customer-facing processes.
Broad Dynamic worked with Appian's Hong Kong-based partner Frontier Research and Technology to deploy the Media Sales & Traffic solution. The solution is hosted on Amazon Web Services' Singapore cloud, and Frontier consultants and Broad Dynamic staff were able to work almost entirely remotely on the cloud to create the application.

Broad Dynamic lacked a centralized system for the range of pre-sales and post-sales business processes and documentation involved in monitoring sales opportunities, moving them through contracting, and managing advertisement design, approval and production. Broad Dynamic Management sought a professional standard of internal controls to deliver a clear view of "the business" (opportunities in the pipeline and the status of client fulfillment and ad production). Manual processes hampered pre- and post-sales activities. Tracking related documents (such as sales quotes, contracts and ad design specifications) was time-consuming and document version control was inconsistent.
The solution has increased internal control and productivity as well as enhanced customer satisfaction. Because it is available as a native mobile app for Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and RIM BlackBerry devices, Broad Dynamic personnel can engage with critical business processes regardless of their location. The highly-scalable solution utilizes Appian's unique in-memory analytics engine to provide real-time analysis and reporting for tens of millions of active process instances.
