CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jul 17, 2012) - Forward Market Media (FMM), in partnership with the 54th AutoZone Liberty Bowl, today announced the opening of a new ticket reservation system on www.AutoZoneLibertyBowl.org. Through this system, powered by Forward Market Media's proprietary software platform, fans can now reserve a "TeamTix," which gives them the right to purchase a face-value ticket well in advance of the Bowl's team selections in December -- insuring that if their favorite team travels to Memphis for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, they can be there too.
The AutoZone Liberty Bowl is the first bowl game to join the 2013 BCS National Championship game as the only post-season college football game to partner with Forward Market Media for this new and exciting ticketing opportunity for the 2012 season.
This groundbreaking licensing agreement with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl is Forward Market Media's first arrangement for ticket reservations with an SEC, Big East or C-USA-affiliated bowl game. This new ticketing plan affirms the AutoZone Liberty Bowl's commitment to ensuring a great fan experience. With the 2012 college football season about to kick off, this forward market will provide fans an engaging and exciting way to reserve highly sought after face-value tickets for the 54th AutoZone Liberty Bowl, which will be played December 31st at 2:30 p.m. Central Time.
The system is easy and straightforward: Football fans from across the nation can go to the official AutoZone Liberty Bowl site www.AutoZoneLibertyBowl.org to purchase a "TeamTix" reservation for the game. If their team receives a berth in the Bowl, that fan purchases a ticket to the game at face value. If the fan's team is not selected for the Bowl, the reservation expires. Fans can also resell or trade their ticket reservation in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl's hosted market exchange, where reservation prices rise and fall based on each team's on-field performance and demand for tickets. In addition, special team-specific Twitter hashtags will enable fans to closely follow their team's forward marketplace to buy, sell and trade in real time.
"We are honored to join the BCS National Championship Game as partners with Forward Market Media to provide fans with earlier and more convenient access to AutoZone Liberty Bowl game tickets," said Steve Ehrhart, Executive Director of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. "The forward market is a game changer when it comes to connecting passionate fans and building excitement in the months leading up to the Bowl, while also ensuring that the most ardent fans are in attendance."
"We are committed to opening the door for passionate college football fans and providing them with access to a once-in-a-lifetime experience," notes Scott McKibben, CEO of Forward Market Media. "Our team is proud to be working with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl to deliver fans this enhanced and unique experience."
Forward Market Media's reservation platform is tested and proven -- organizations from the BCS to Major League Baseball also are licensees of FMM.
