Audi of America announced today that the brand is returning for a second consecutive year as the official automotive partner of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and will highlight the S as well as RS model lines of vehicles, underscoring the brand's dedication to the very best in performance. This year, Audi will also serve as the official sponsor of the Green Room at the Primetime Emmy Awards, and as a part of this partnership, will collaborate with famed fashion designer Derek Lam to create a stunning and elegant space for presenters and award recipients. Additionally, Audi is evolving its sponsorship with "Backstage Live," an innovative and interactive second screen Emmy experience.
The first-ever Audi Green Room will be revealed on Wednesday, September 19, during the Red Carpet rollout for the Primetime Emmy telecast. The Audi Green Room will be part of "Backstage Live," a unique digital multi-screen destination on Emmys.com and ABC.com, which will provide fans with a robust and immersive Emmy viewing experience simultaneous to the telecast on ABC. "Backstage Live," presented by Audi will include special features such as live footage behind the scenes of the Emmys telecast, engaging content related to the nominees, social media activity and Red Carpet fashion round-ups.
Audi and the Emmy® Awards
Audi is supporting select Television Academy events celebrating this year's Primetime Emmy Award nominees, including the Governors Ball preview, which took place on August 22, the 13th Annual Primetime Emmy Celebrity Tee-off, which took place on September 10, the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which took place on September 15, the Red Carpet rollout press event for the Primetime Emmy telecast on September 19, the Performers Nominee Reception on September 21 and the 64th Primetime Emmys telecast at the Nokia Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 23 (7PM, ET/ 4PM, PT). The Awards will be hosted for the first time by Jimmy Kimmel and Don Mischer will serve as executive producer for a record 12th time. Audi A8L vehicles, the brand's luxury flagship sedan, will chauffeur some of television's biggest stars to the awards and surrounding events. In addition, stunning Audi S and RS model vehicles, representing the very best in performance and elegance, will be on display at numerous events. Throughout the Emmy telecast, Audi will also air commercial spots highlighting many of the performance features of the S and RS model lines.
