APAC, Senator Reid Announce 300 New Jobs Planned for Nevada


LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Oct 20, 2011) - Three hundred customer service positions supporting certain national clients of APAC Customer Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: APAC) are planned for Nevada, the company and Nevada Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced today.

The positions will serve APAC's customers located in Nevada and throughout the country, and represent positions that are being "in-shored" -- transferred back to the United States from international locations. Those clients include Medco Health Solutions, which is the state's second-largest employer.

APAC is locating these positions to Nevada in response to its clients, who have expressed a desire to bring work that is outsourced and off-shored back into the United States. In doing so, the company is leveraging Nevada's business-friendly climate and the talented pool of employees whose skill and expertise is instrumental to serving the sophisticated and exacting needs of APAC clients.

"With our state still struggling to recover, today's announcement that three hundred good paying jobs are being shipped back into the state from overseas is very welcome news," said Senator Reid. The positions will be located in an office complex that will be named later this year. The positions will be dedicated to offering telephone, telephone-based or remote clinical and administrative customer services for APAC clients that have operations nationwide.
