Amika Mobile's Amika Mobility Server (AMS) has been named an ASIS Accolades Finalist in relation to ground breaking innovation addressing two gaps in public safety and security. First, the automatic discovery of wired and wireless devices and second, the auto-detection and management of emergency sensor events triggered from disparate physical security systems.

IMS Research describes the mass notification market as $1.2 Billion in 2011. The drivers for the market include regulations such as the NFPA 72-2010 Fire Safety Act as well as heightened requirements for security and safety in all sectors.

Amika Mobility Server's capability is especially important for airports, sports arenas, entertainment venues and campuses where visitors must be reached in emergencies. The AMS platform automatically delivers identified events to appropriate groups based on situational details. Dynamic events include card access under duress, exceeded temperature thresholds, detected motion from cameras, fire panel events, etc.

AMS 6.0 introduces a generic integration architecture, enabling rapid integration with additional third-party equipment and applications. Dynamically captured events from any monitoring sensor product from any vendor are automatically clustered and disambiguated to issue a single, group or mass alert as required. The dynamic events trigger alerts over 10 possible layers including mobile phones, tickers on TV monitors, Email, SMS, Twitter, RSS Feeds, VoIP, Smartphones, laptop or desktop pop-ups, identifying recipients by dynamic locations or team membership.

"The auto-trigger capability is an exciting milestone for Amika Mobile and its team. Our generic interface in AMS 6.0 has been designed to address customer and partner demands for advanced auto-detection capabilities for disparate sensor events, with immediate delivery of resulting targeted and mass alerts." said Amika Mobile CEO Dr. Sue Abu-Hakima.
A demonstration of AMS 6.0 will be shown at the ASIS 2011 UTC Fire and Security booth #1501 as well as at the Ontario Pavilion Booth # 1735.
