Allen Levine Named Business Litigation Practice Group Leader at Becker & Poliakoff

Michael Whitt and Mitchell Mandler to Serve as Practice Group Co-Chairs


FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - Dec 27, 2012) - Becker & Poliakoff, a multi-practice business law firm with more than 155 attorneys, lobbyists and other professionals in 18 domestic and international offices, has appointed Allen M. Levine, a shareholder in the firm's Ft. Lauderdale office, to chair the Business Litigation Practice Group. The announcement was made by Gary Rosen, former head of the practice group, who was named the firm's managing shareholder in 2012.

Together with the appointment of Mr. Levine, partners Michael R. Whitt and Mitchell W. Mandler, who are based in the Ft. Myers and Miami offices, respectively, were named Vice Chairs of the group.

Mr. Levine, who will now head the team, has practiced in Florida since 1981 and has extensive trial and appellate experience. He focuses his practice on real estate and business disputes and is "AV Preeminent" 5.0 out of 5 rated (the highest level attainable) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Mandler, vice chairman, is the recipient of Board Certification in Business Litigation from the Florida Bar and also rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell. He has broad experience in business disputes primarily representing banks in loan workouts, commercial foreclosures and lender liability issues. 

Vice-chairman Whitt has been practicing in Florida since 1987. He has tried cases throughout Florida in eminent domain and other complex litigation. He serves on the Eminent Domain Committee for The Florida Bar and is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar.
