Alabama Graphite Corp. has Second Meeting With Top County and State Lawmakers

Overwhelming Support for Project is Espoused; Application for Industrial Development Grant in Works.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 17, 2012) - Alabama Graphite Corp. (the "Company") (CNSX:ALP)(FRANKFURT:1AG) (ISIN# CA0102931080) (WKN A1J35M) is pleased to announce that last week, at the county municipal office building in Rockford, in the office of Terry Mitchell, Coosa County Judge, the company met with Judge Mitchell, county engineers, private citizens and Alabama State Senator Jerry Fielding (R- District 11) whose committee appointments include Job Creation and Economic Development for the State of Alabama. This meeting was a follow-up to an October meeting wherein the company met with sixteen separate State and County lawmakers, private citizens, Alabama DCNR (Department of Conservation and Natural Resources), law enforcement and county engineers. Doug Oliver (VP Exploration) and Daniel Spine (CEO) represented Alabama Graphite. All attendees to this October meeting visited the project site and voiced unanimous support for the Coosa Graphite Project. During the October site visit, DCNR and Coosa County engineering broached the subject of initiating improvements to the existing main road from County Road 29 to the exploration grid of the Coosa Graphite Project. The county will apply to the State to request funds for these improvements. These funds are made available through Industrial Development Grants from the State of Alabama. The agenda for this meeting exclusively concerned itself with engineering an optimal and enduring design for this improvement of the main artery from Hwy. 29 and initiating the application process for the Grant. During the meeting, Mr. Donald Eason, the Coosa County engineer who will write the request for the Grant, opined that this Grant will be seriously considered by the State, as this project will potentially employ a large number of workers and it has been almost a decade since Coosa County received any Industrial Development Grant funding.

John Hagood, a principal at Capitol Resources, LLC in Montgomery, AL, consultant to Alabama Graphite, who attended both meetings, commented, "As a former environmental regulator at ADEM, I find it refreshing to deal with a company so concerned with involving all the stakeholders at the beginning, and in turn the local and state officials and the stakeholders seem overwhelmingly supportive. I'm excited to be involved."

John Hagood was a former executive counsel and interim director of ADEM. ADEM - The Alabama Department of Environmental Management - is the agency that permits mining projects in Alabama.

Senator Jerry Fielding comments: "Alabama needs jobs and nowhere in the state is this need more urgent than right here in Coosa County. I will help to deploy whatever state resources I can muster to advance this project to a working mine and graphite production plant. We take great pride here in Coosa County that we lay claim as hosts to such a rich and potentially long-lived asset. The excitement on the ground here is palpable. We now stand at the gateway to the second life of the great Alabama graphite industry."

Daniel Spine, CEO, adds, "From day one, we have prioritized the enrollment of each individual stakeholder, be that stakeholder an association of people or a single individual, to detailed information about what we are planning to do and how we are going to accomplish these plans. And we intend to keep this open dialogue throughout the entire life of this project."
