LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 29, 2012) - International model, actor and media personality Adam Sabbagh has been cast in the upcoming action thriller "The Runner," which will begin filming in Los Angeles in October with an expected theatrical release in 2013.
The film is being produced by Pacific West Pictures, directed by Kristopher Dolphin and produced by Peter Ghabi and Kristopher Dolphin.
"The Runner" is an action thriller that centers around a drug runner, "Runner," fresh out of a three year stretch who heads into Los Angeles and wastes no time getting back to work, despite being on parole. What unfolds is a compelling story that brings together the underground world of drug dealers and loan sharks with Runner's family dynamic resulting in a race to stay alive. After an old boss sets out to have "Runner" and his sister murdered for their father's debts, Runner and his sister go on the run. Runner and his sister's already strained relationship as siblings is put to the test, and, whether love or hate between them is the motivation, they both want to stay alive. Sabbagh will play "The Mark," one of the four leading characters in the film.
Sabbagh recently made news when he signed a development deal with Trium, a global independent multiplatform production company founded by "The Biggest Loser" executive producer Mark Koops, who will package and shop a reality show based on Sabbagh's life as a young jetsetter, successful entrepreneur and celebrity confidante. Sabbagh was also recently signed by Major Model Management, one of the top modeling agencies in New York.
