CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA--(Marketwire - Jun 14, 2012) - On May 14th 2012 a rainy morning in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Ballantyne Country Club Fairways hundreds gathered on the fairway to tee off for ACN Inc's annual Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte Celeb. Golf Tournament.
The charity event was sponsored by ACN Global Reach Charities and raised an outstanding $187,520.00 for the local chapter of the Ronald McDonald house. The amount is $10,000 greater than last year's total fundraising.
The 2012 event was sold out this year with 130 golfers from across the United States came to participate in the tourney. Some of the famous celebrities that made an appearance this year were ex- NBA star "Mugsy" Bogues, Matt Carroll from the Charlotte Bobcats, former National Football League cornerback Steven Israel, former 2 time pro-bowl wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad, Mick Mixon from the Carolina Panthers and tons of other notable celebs.
During the event a silent auction was held which gave away VIP tickets to Bank of America's Nascar 500 race, Coldplay concert tickets, and round trip tickets courtesy of Delta Airlines. Even Ronald McDonald donated a pair of his autographed shoes for auction.
100% of proceeds from the charity event were donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, which just opened almost a year ago and serves as a home away from home for any family that is dealing with sick children who are being treated in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
Thanks to donations from ACN Global Reach Charities and their quarterly donations collected at their international Training events held around the world they were able to present a check for $89,351.18 to the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House on May 20th 2012.
Even with the rainy weather during the golf tournament it was a bright day for the charity and that's what matters as ACN Global Reach Charities makes a difference and gives back.

The RMH of Charlotte serves the families of children being treated at Levine Children's Hospital and Hemby Children's Hospital. Located at 1613 East Morehead Street on land donated by Carolinas Medical Center, the House features approximately 35,000 square feet of living space complete with 28 bedrooms (one family per bedroom/suite), providing more than 10,000 nights for the families. It also has a community kitchen, great room, library, playground and sitting porch. Construction began in early 2010 and the House accepted its first family in May 2011.
