BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Jan 24, 2013) - SqueePlay, a new company focused on the creation of next generation Facebook games, today announced its SqueeDogs KickStarter campaign. The campaign is designed to lay the groundwork for the launch of the company's first game, SqueeDogs, in March 2013.
The KickStarter funds will be used to create additional worlds of increasing complexity, provide 'games as a service', and support a marketing campaign. Follow the link or visit www.kickstarter.com and search for "SqueeDogs" to donate.
SqueeDogs targets Facebook gamers looking for a new experience, and of course, the pet loving community. It reflects the company's philosophy of promoting positive values through imaginative play. In SqueeDogs, the user plays as a puppy private eye who goes on adventures, solves mysteries, rescues lost pups and reunites them with their families -- all while having a fun-filled romp through fantastical worlds. SqueePlay is teaming up with the MSCPA and will be donating part of its revenue to the charity.
Founded by mother-son creative team Cerise Jacobs and Pirate Epstein, and supported by the development muscle of Infrared5, SqueePlay's games will feature sophisticated design and creative play that will appeal to all segments of the large casual gaming market.
"Facebook games have a reputation for looking, feeling and playing the same," said Pirate Epstein, Founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of SqueePlay. "We want to change that by bringing Facebook gamers the vivid 3-D graphics and immersive experiences you might associate with a console game. We hope to set a new standard for Facebook games."
Boston-based Infrared5, an interactive agency of developers, designers, problem solvers, video gamers and all-around creative personalities, is SqueePlay's development partner. Infrared5 uses the latest technologies, like Unity, a powerful rendering engine, to create the ultimate gaming experience.
Founded by mother-son team Cerise Jacobs and Pirate Epstein, SqueePlay is a creator of Web-based 3-D casual games. The company is named after the urban dictionary definition of squee (to squeal with glee; from a combination of the two words). SqueePlay makes the games that players around the world "squee" about. SqueePlay's first game, SqueeDogs will launch in March 2013. For more information, visit www.squeeplay.com.
