VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 19, 2012) - The Canadian Bar Association B.C. Branch (CBABC) will host the annual A Day for Legal Aid event on September 26th at the University of Victoria, featuring a panel discussion on the importance of legal aid in British Columbia. This event marks the continuation of CBABC's We Need Legal Aid campaign, launched in October 2011, which seeks to raise awareness about the economic and social effects of cuts to funding for legal aid in B.C. The event will be livestreamed to Thompson Rivers University and will be available to the public. Viewers will be invited to send questions via Twitter to @WeNeedLegalAid or with the hashtag #WNLA.
