Zwaggle.com Celebrates Successful First Year With Month-Long "Birthday Party"
Popular Online Community Gives Back to Its Members With Premium Party Favors, Spending Sprees and Bonus Zoints in August
DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - July 22, 2008) - Zwaggle.com has connected thousands of
families since launching in August 2007 with its modern approach to the
age-old practice of handing down instead of buying new. The online
community where parents come together to share toys, clothing and gear with
other families is celebrating its first anniversary in August, with a
month-long celebration for new and current members.
"Our members are the backbone of our community and have been essential in
making Zwaggle successful across the country," said Adam Levy, founder of
Zwaggle.com. "We wanted to show our
appreciation to our Zwaggle families for their ongoing support and the
steps they are taking towards reusing and recycling with special birthday
deals and incentives all month long. We encourage members to visit the
site often because you never know what new surprises might be in store."
Every week in August, Zwaggle will post an array of premium "party favors"
to the site which members can purchase for site points, called "Zoints."
Zwaggle will post a fresh batch of items each Sunday evening with more
favors added to the site throughout the week. As a thank-you to members,
party favors will be available at half their typical Zoint values. Party
favor items include a Bugaboo Bee stroller, the fun-for-all-ages Nintendo
Wii and a variety of Wii games, American Girl doll sets, Webkinz and much
more.
Additionally, every time a Zwaggle member completes a transaction on the
site during the month of August, they'll receive double Zoints for the
trade and Zwaggle will automatically enter them into a drawing for a 1,000
Zoint Shopping Spree. As always, new members receive 50 Zoints upon sign-up and receive
bonus Zoints every time they refer a friend who becomes member. No money
ever exchanges hands on Zwaggle.com; all trades happen for FREE and the
only cost is shipping.
Zwaggle will donate all Zoints collected from its party favors to the National Head Start
Association, a private not-for-profit membership organization dedicated
to providing comprehensive education, health, nutrition, and parent
involvement services to low-income children and their families. Zwaggle
will donate the Zoints to partner Head Start chapters across the country,
giving the local organizations the ability to gather items for the families
they support.
In addition to the site's collaborative nature and great deals, members
have been joining Zwaggle for its vibrant community. With a growing
membership base and new active and diverse groups formed daily, the site
makes it easy to connect with neighbors down the road or like-minded new
friends in another state. Zwaggle also helps keeps unwanted items out of
landfills and puts them in homes where they can be put to good use.
So why throw away what can be shared? Why purchase new when you can save
money on quality clothes, toys and gear? Why not do your share. At Zwaggle,
you save when you share. You save time. You save money. You help save the
environment.
