Zulily Hires Key Operation and Finance Executives to Support Growth
Marc Schneider and Angy Merola Join Rapidly Growing Daily Deal Shopping Site for Moms, Babies, and Kids
SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) - Zulily (www.zulily.com), a fabulous new online store offering daily sales up to 70 percent off retail on the most unique and sought-after children's boutique brands, today announced the appointment of Marc Schneider as chief operating officer and Angy Merola as vice president of finance. Schneider will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Zulily's fulfillment, internal technology systems, and customer service initiatives. Merola will be charged with managing all facets of Zulily's financial operations.

Schneider is an accomplished, success-driven executive with over 18 years of experience driving operations, revenue, and profits to new heights across a variety of industries such as e-commerce, call center operations, and financial services. Prior to joining Zulily, Schneider was the VP of mergers & acquisition integration and customer service operations at Provide Commerce where he led the turnaround of Proflowers.com's call center and helped drive RedEnvelope to profitability for the first time in the company's 10-year history. Before Provide Commerce, he served as VP of operations for Richard C Breeden & Co., where he managed the operations of a startup headed by former SEC Chairman Richard C. Breeden. Schneider received his BS in Economics and Accounting from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA in Marketing and Statistics from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
Merola is an experienced finance and operations entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience helping successful startups define and scale their financial and operational systems, processes, and procedures to quickly meet market demand. She joins Zulily from Razorfish, where she served as a financial planning and strategic operations consultant. Prior to Razorfish, Merola was the VP of finance and operations for Mixpo, where she helped drive the company's Series B financing and was responsible for all finance, accounting, and business operations functions. Merola has held executive and senior positions with DRIVE Performance Media, aQuantive, Real Networks, and Deloitte. She received her BS in Accounting and Organizational Behavior from Central Washington University.
